To understand Nature, Heal the Mankind
According to the Mahabharata, there was a sage named Ayoddhaumya. One of his disciples was named Aruni. He was a resident of Panchaldesh. Aruni used to obey every command of his guru. One day Guruji sent him to tie the ram of the field. On the orders of the Guru, Aruni went to the field and tried to tie the ram. Even after trying a lot, when he could not tie the ram to the field, he himself lay down in place of the ram so that the water could not come inside the field.
When Aruni did not return to the ashram for a long time, his guru along with his other disciples came to the field looking for him. Coming here, he called Aruni. Hearing the Guru's voice, Aruni stood up. When he told the whole thing to his guru, Guru Ayoddhaumya was very pleased to see Aruni's devotion and blessed him to have knowledge of all the Vedas and Dharmashastras.
