To understand Nature, Heal the Mankind
In ancient times there was a Brahmin named Kahod. His wife's name was Sujatha. When the time came, Sujata got pregnant. One day when Kahod was reciting the Vedas, the baby in Sujata's womb said – Father. You recite Vedas throughout the night, but it is not done properly. On being told this way by the pregnant child, Kahod got angry and said that - You talk such crooked things in your stomach, so you will be born crooked from eight places. A few days after this incident, Kahod went to King Janak with the desire of wealth.
There he was defeated in debate with a scholar named Bandi. According to the rules, they were submerged in water. A few days later Ashtavakra was born but his mother did not tell him anything. When Ashtavakra was 12 years old, one day he asked his mother about his father. Then the mother told him the whole thing truthfully. Ashtavakra also went to the court of King Janak to debate. Here there was a debate between Ashtavakra and the captive, in which Ashtavakra defeated him.
Ashtavakra told the king that the prisoner should also be immersed in water according to the rules. Then the captive told that he is the son of Varundev, the lord of water. All the scholars that he has drowned in water after defeating in the debate, they are all in Varuna Loka. At the same time all the brahmins who were immersed in the water came out again. Ashtavakra's father Kahod also came out of the water. He was very pleased to know about Ashtavakra and with the blessings of his father Ashtavakra's body became straight.
Life is full of many strange aspects that are beyond human comprehension. ‘Never take life seriously, no one gets out alive’ is an oft-heard and good one-liner that inspires people to be positive about life and makes you laugh.
