Various methods of reciting and proving Durga Saptashati

general method

After chanting Navarna Mantra and Saptashati Nyas, thirteen chapters are recited respectively, in ancient times the recitation of Keelak, Kavach and Argala has also been done along with the original mantras of Saptashati. Today it also contains the text of Atharvashirsha, Kunjika Mantra, Vedokta Ratri Devi Sukta etc., through which the seekers recite the Goddess in an hour.

Walker method

This method is considered very simple. In this method, on the first day one lesson, the first chapter, on the second day two lessons, the second, third chapter, on the third day one lesson, the fourth chapter, on the fourth day four lessons, the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth chapters, on the fifth day the text of two chapters, ninth, tenth chapter, On the sixth day, the eleventh chapter, on the seventh day, two chapters, twelfth and trayodash chapters, have a frequency of Saptashati.

capsule text method

For a particular purpose, tying once above and one below a particular mantra, for example, samput mantra, Moolmantra-1, samput mantra, then moolmantra, finally again samput mantra etc. This method takes more time.

Simple Navchandi method.

In this method nine brahmins recite by simple method. A Brahmin recites half of the Saptashati. (Which means - the whole text of chapters one to four, starting from "Deva Uchuh- Namo Devye Mahadevyai" in the fifth chapter, till the rishiruvacha, the praise of Narayan in the eleventh chapter, the twelfth and thirteenth chapters complete) By doing this half lesson This is considered to be the completion of the entire work. Shadanga Rudrashtadhyayi is recited by another Brahmin. In this way a total of eleven brahmins recite Saptashati by Navchandi method. After the recitation, after establishing the fire and offering a complete havan, a Havan is performed in which the Navagraha Samidhas are used for planetary yoga, the complete mantras of the Saptashati, Shri Sukta vehicle and the Shiva mantra 'Sadsukta', after which Brahmin food, Kumari's food etc. It is said in the Varahi Tantra that one who performs the "Sardhanvachandi" experiment, remains fearless till he becomes free from life, receives kingdom, shri and wealth.

Shatchandi method.

For the happiness of the mother, by setting up a beautiful mandap and havan kund near any Durga temple (in the west or central part) and calling ten excellent brahmins (worthy), get the Markandeya Puranokt Shri Durga Saptashati to be recited ten times by each of them separately. Apart from this, one thousand Navarna mantras should also be done by every Brahmin. Shatchandi (108) of Shakti sect consider Ashtami, Navami, Chaturdashi and Purnima as auspicious for the method of recitation. In this ritual method, nine kumaris should be worshiped which should be of two to ten years and these girls should be worshiped with the names of Kumari, Trimurti, Kalyani, Rohini, Kalika, Shambhavi, Durga, Chandika and Mudra respectively. In this girl worship, worship a Brahmin girl for fulfillment of all desires, a Kshatriya girl for fame, a prostitute for wealth and a Shudra girl for getting a son. All these girls are invoked by taking the name of each goddess, such as "I invoke Mantraksharamai Lakshmirupini, Matruroopdharini and Sakshat Nav Durga Swarupini girls and salute each goddess." One should pray in this way. Make a Sarvatobhadra Mandal on the altar and worship it by setting up a Kalash. In the Shatchandi ritual, Vedic worship of Yantrastha Kalash, Shri Ganesha, Navagraha, Matrika, Vastu, Saptarishi, Saptchiranjeev, 64 Yogini, 50 Kshetrapal and injustice gods is done. After which it should be recited with worship for four days. Havan takes place on the fifth day.
