According to accurate calculations of astrologers, Hanuman ji was born 1 crore 85 lakh 58 thousand 114 years ago on Chaitra Purnima on Tuesday at 06:03 am in the sum of Chitra Nakshatra and Aries Ascendant.

According to Valmiki's Ramayana (from Matantar), Hanuman was born on Tuesday, the Chaturdashi Tithi (Chhoti Deepawali) of the Krishna Paksha of Kartik month.

Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated twice a year. According to the first Hindu calendar, Chaitra Shukla Purnima i.e. between March or April according to the Gregorian calendar and second on Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi i.e. Narak Chaturdashi i.e. between September-October. Apart from this, Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on the new moon of Margashirsha month in Tamil Nadu and Kerala and on the first day of Vaishakh month in Orissa. After all what is right?

Hanumanji was born in a cave at 6:03 am on Chaitra Purnima in Aries Ascendant and Chitra Nakshatra. This means that he was born in the month of Chaitra. Then why celebrate Chaturdashi? According to the Ramayana composed by Valmiki, Hanumanji was born on Tuesday, on the Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month, in Swati Nakshatra and Aries ascendant.

Differences regarding the birth of Hanuman ji

One date is celebrated as Vijay Abhinandan Mahotsav while the second date is celebrated as Birthday. According to the first date, on this day Hanumanji ran to eat the Sun as a fruit, on the same day Rahu had also come to make the Sun his Grass, but seeing Hanumanji, the Sun God mistook him as the second Rahu. On this day was the full moon of Chaitra month while he was born on Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi. According to another belief, Mother Sita, seeing Hanumanji's devotion and dedication, gave him the boon of immortality. This day was the day of Naraka Chaturdashi. Although what Valmikiji has written can be considered correct.

Story of Hanuman ji's mother Anjani's previous birth

It is said that Mother Anjani was Apsara Punjiksthala in the court of Devraj Indra in her previous birth. In her childhood she was very beautiful and playful by nature, once in her playfulness she committed indecency with a stunning sage doing penance.

Enraged, the sage cursed Punjikasthala that you become a monkey with a monkey-like nature, after hearing the sage's curse, Punjiksthala started apologizing to the sage, then the sage said that that form of yours would also be the most stunning.

A son will be born from you, whose fame and fame will make your name immortal for ages, Anjani was blessed with a brave son.

Shri Hanumanji's Childhood

Due to the curse of the sage, Anjana had to be born on earth in the form of a female monkey in Treta Yuga. Was Anjana (Apsara Punjiksthala) Pleased with Anjana's service, Indra asked her to ask for the boon she wanted, Anjana hesitantly told her that she was cursed by an ascetic monk, if possible, get her freed from him. Indra asked him to tell about that curse, do you know that he should get him liberated from that curse?

Anjana started narrating her story to him, Anjana said 'When I was playing in my childhood, I saw a monkey doing penance, it was a big surprise for me, so I started throwing fruits on that ascetic monkey. That was my fault because he was not an ordinary monkey but an ascetic monk.

I broke his penance and in anger he cursed me that whenever I fall in love with someone, I will become a monkey. On my pleading and apologizing, that monk said that despite my face being a monkey, that person's love will not diminish towards me. After narrating her story, Anjana said that she would be very grateful if Indra Dev could get her free from this curse. Indra Dev told her that to get rid of this curse, Anjana would have to live on earth, where she would meet her husband. Avatar of Shiva

Many saints have popularized the worship of Hanumanji in the society. In the context of such Hanuman ji, Samarth Ramdas Swami says, 'Hanumanji is our deity.' Hanumanji is a symbol of strength, tact and devotion. That is why Samarth Ramdasswami started the practice of worshiping Hanumanji. Eleven Marutis established by him in Maharashtra are famous. Along with this, Saint Tulsidas established many temples of Maruti in North India and strengthened their worship. In South India, Madhvacharya is considered an incarnation of Maruti. Along with these, many other saints have placed the ideal of Maruti in front of the society through their various creations.

1. Potency

Hanumanji is the almighty deity. As soon as he was born, Hanumanji took off to swallow the sun. From this it is clear that Hanumanji, born of Vayuputra i.e. Vayu Tattva, was able to conquer Surya i.e. Tejtattva. Among the elements of earth, you, tej, air and sky, Vayutattva is more subtle, that is, more powerful than Tejtattva. Of all the deities, only Hanumanji cannot be troubled by negative energies. There were lakhs of demons in Lanka, even then they could not harm Hanumanji. From this we can guess the power of Hanumanji.

1. Lord of Ghosts

Hanumanji is considered the lord of ghosts. If there is any obstacle in the ghost, then that person is taken to the temple of Hanumanji. Also, it is asked to recite hymns related to Hanumanji like Hanumantkavacha, Bhimrupi Stotra or Hanuman Chalisa.

2. Devotion

In spiritual practice, the seeker, the mumukshu, the seeker, the disciple and the devotee are the stages of such progress. In this, the devotee is the last step. Bhakta means one who is not separate from God. Hanumanji is completely identical with Lord Shri Ram. Whenever the best example of Dasya Bhakti has to be given out of the Navvida Bhakti, then the example of Hanumanji is given. They are always ready to lay down their lives for their Lord Rama. In comparison to the service of Lord Shri Ram, everything costs them a penny. Hanuman is a beautiful combination of servant and soldier. Despite being omnipotent himself, he used to call himself Shri Ramjika Das. His feeling was that his power is also the power of Shri Ram. Man means the confluence of power and devotion.

3. Proficient in psychology and skilled in politics

In many cases, not only the monkeys like Sugriva etc., but Rama also consulted Hanumanji. In the very first meeting in Lanka, Hanuman ji built trust in Sita's mind. Hanumanji's intelligence and mastery of psychology are evident from these episodes. By burning Lanka, Hanuman instilled disbelief in Ravana's subjects about the power of Ravana. This shows his political acumen.

4. Jitendriya

When Hanumanji went to Ravana's sanctum in search of Sita, his state of mind at that time is an indicator of his high character. In this context he himself says, 'I saw all the wives of Ravana lying down without a doubt; But seeing them did not create disorder in my mind.

Valmiki Ramayana, Sunderkand 11.42-43

Being the conqueror of senses, Hanuman was able to defeat Ravana's son Indrajit. Since then the worship of Hanumanji was told to win over the senses.

5. One who fulfills the wishes of the devotees

Lord Hanuman is considered as a wish-fulfilling deity, so many men and women who observe a fast perform the prescribed circumambulation around the idol of Hanumanji. Many people wonder that, when the marriage of a girl is not fixed, she is asked to worship Brahmachari Hanumanji. In fact, there is no such distinction as 'brahmacari' or 'married' among deities of the highest level. Such a difference is man-made. On the basis of psychology, some people have a misconception that girls worship Hanuman ji with the desire to marry a handsome, strong man. But the real reason is something like this. About 30 percent of the people are unable to get married due to the influence of ghosts, witchcraft, etc. Worshiping Hanumanji removes these troubles and their marriage becomes possible.

6. How is Hanuman Janmotsav celebrated?

The festival of Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated with pomp at various places all over India. On this day, from 4 o'clock in the morning, devotees take a bath and start coming to the temples of Hanuman ji for darshan. Worship method starts in the Devalayas from 5 in the morning. After taking Panchamrit bath to the idol of Hanumanji, he is duly worshipped. The story of Hanuman birth, Bhajan, Kirtan etc. is organized till 6 in the morning i.e. till the time of Hanuman birth.
