Once a saint was sitting with his disciples.
Suddenly he asked a question to all the disciples.
Tell me, when two people are angry at each other, why do they shout loudly..?
The disciples thought for a while.
And another replied: We have lost our peace so we start crying.
The saint smiled and said: If both the people are very close to each other, then even slowly they can talk. Why is he crying after all..?
Some other disciples also replied
But the saint was not satisfied and started answering himself.
He said, when two people are angry with each other, the distance in their hearts increases greatly. When the distance increases, it has to be loud enough to deliver the sound. The greater the distance, the louder you will have to shout. This distance of hearts makes two angry people cry.
He further said, when two people are in love, they talk to each other very comfortably and slowly. Love brings hearts closer and there is no need to shout to reach closer.
When the love between two people becomes even more intense, then they even whisper to each other their point of view. After this a stage of love also comes that there is no need to even whisper. It is only by looking into each other's eyes that we understand what is being said.
Looking at the disciples, the saint said, now whenever you argue, do not let the distance of hearts grow. Talk in a calm and low voice. Keep in mind that the distance should not increase so much that it is not possible to come back..!
